SMUK 1'99 Singapore Gathering

I had a so called reunion wiht my high school friends. Those who are currently working or studying in Singapore. It was really fun... Some of them I really haven't met since high school. I didn't realize that it has been more than 6 years since we graduated. It's a long time, but seems so fast.

We had dinner together at Marche Suntec. There wer about 25 of us. Hehehe... Yup2... 25 of us went in to Marche. Separated to 3 table. Had a lot of talk, remembering our high school time, funny stories, funny things that happened during that time, some of the memories that really cannot be forgotten...

Finished eating, we went to Esplanade. Sitting on the theatre outside Esplanade. Continue chatting and had some riddles. =D

Thanks to Mira who organized this gathering. =D It's nice to see you all again. Hope we have another chance to have another gathering. And for those who didn't come today, next time, you must join us. =D

Tomorrow go to All Saints for the last time before my exam, and continue again after my exam =D

Wortel, Telur atau Kopi???

Something I received from email, but in Indonesian. Sorry for those cannot read.

Another weekend Coming up...

This week seems like very fast. It's already Friday today. Busy day at the office is good. Prefer to be busy than nothing to do. Time really flies and don't feel bored.

Normal Friday night, dinner at Sizzler Suntec. Had pretty good laugh, specially when Jo is around. Sitting on the same table with him. Really had a lot of laugh while eating. Total 13 of us, divided into 3 tables with the formation of 5-5-3. 4-5-4 was the initial plan. But Jo ended up on the same table with me.

Finished dinner, went for a game of bowling in Marina Square and headed home. Home Sweet Home...

Childhood memories

Something just stroke me when I read Parlin's blog about Street Fighter. It's one of game that I played during my secondary I guess. They have a comic about it also. It's been a long time... The one that really reminds me from it is those movies/cartoons that I watched during that time...

I remembered I liked to watch cartoons or those super heroes movie like Saint Seiya, Gaban, Goggle V, Transformers, Thunder Cats, He-man, Silver Birds Spiderman, X-Men, etc. I still do like to watch them. =D No wonder I act as if I am 16y. Hehehe... I used to wait in the evening about 4pm (or 5pm, can't really remember what time) to watch those cartoons. Hahaha...

Wow, really miss those days when we don't need to think, just play and play... I am sure you remember some of your childhood movie or cartoons. Care to share with us those movies?

What age do you act???

You Are 16 Years Old

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

Hohoho... Still young hor... =D

The Makan week

This week's been a Makan week for me. Makan is eat in Malay. Hahaha... Yup2... All I have been doing is just makan and makan and makan for the whole week.

It all started with a training that I had for four days at Perkin Elmer. They provided breakfast, lunch, and tea break session. The food was plenty. I think we ate more than we learn. Hehehe... =P Don't tell my boss please...

And last Friday, had a BBQ with BioE people. We had it at Yennie's place. As per usual, chicken wings, satays, sausages. Hehehe... At the start of the BBQ, some people thought that we had not enough food. And was planning to buy some more. Hehehe... In the end, we still had left over, uncooked satay and chicken wings. Hehehe... Hmm... I think BBQ had always had left over. Hohoho...

Letter from the Mountain

I went for a movie titled Letter from the Mountain. It's one of the movie screened during Japanese Film Festival in Singapore. It's a movie about a couple who lived back to the village. They moved away from the city. In the village they found peace. They met with one old lady and young lady who suffered from a tumor.

It's kinda simple movie. The plot is simple also, but in the movie, there're lotsa good quotes you can take it. =D It's cute when you see the old lady. She is 96 years old in that movie. Just happy to see the old lady. Reminds me to the old folks in All Saints Home. I think there're a lot of things you can learn from them.

And the mountain view in the movie is really2 beautiful. I wish I can be there to see it with my own eyes. Maybe in the future... It's kinda lovely to stay in a small village, far from the city crowd. Stay in a small village where everybody knows everybody, celebrating the festivals together, living a peaceful life. Kinda loose that in the big city where you don't even talk to your neighbour sometime or even know them... Maybe the hectic life of big city, tough working life makes those things hard. Oh well, I wish I can really retired at that kind of place. Or maybe before I retired... We'll see... Let you know when I am there. =D

Btw, I am still looking for some of the quotes in the movie. Let me know if you have it. Or if you have the movie, can lend it to me? =D Thank you...
